Discover® DRY CELL industrial traction and deep cycle batteries are “TRUE GEL” batteries and are suitable for both replacing end-of-life batteries and for fitting to new equipment. The batteries provide exceptional durability even under partial charging and/or high ambient temperature operating conditions. DISCOVER GEL batteries have more cycles than Discover AGM batteries, making them ideal for demanding energy storage applications.
Remark:
- Always make sure you use the correct charging algorithm. The DISCOVER GEL battery is suitable for all classic GEL charging algorithms that have a balancing mode such as EXIDE, Sonnenchein GEL (market standard), etc.
- If you have had to undercharge the battery during the day, we recommend that you leave the battery overnight after the work to recharge it fully - in this case the damage caused by undercharging is fully compensated for (as one undercharge can destroy between 3 and 6 cycles of the battery's lifetime, which in total is about 550 cycles at a depth of discharge of 80%, or about 600 to 900 cycles at a discharge depth of 70%).

DISCOVER DRY CELL AGMs are deep cycle traction batteries adapted to real working conditions - i.e. they can be quickly recharged with a charger of the appropriate capacity, can „tolerate” partial recharges during the course of the day, can withstand high instantaneous loads, have a higher energy density than GEL batteries, withstand well outdoor conditions, can be permanently left connected to the charger, etc. Ideal for installation in new machinery or for replacement, e.g. TROJAN T1275 or Exide GF12 105. Simply choose the right charger algorithm and Discover EV12A will work long and reliably.
Remark:
- Always make sure you use the correct charging algorithm. DISCOVER AGM battery is suitable for all classic AGM charging algorithms that have a balancing mode (recommended), and is also suitable for charging with constant current and constant voltage (up to 2.45V/cycle) chargers, but strictly not for starter AGM battery chargers. I.e. EXIDE, Sonnenchein GEL or DISCOVER GEL charging algorithms are suitable for them as they all have a balancing mode.
