These chargers are more energy efficient. During charging, the electric current is made up of individually modulated (on demand) DC pulses of different widths (hence the name high-frequency chargers), which results in a significantly lower heating of the battery being charged, as the average current is lower than with conventional chargers, while at the same time increasing the overall energy efficiency of the charging process, reducing adverse side effects such as water electrolysis and the formation of insoluble lead layers. Therefore, we always recommend the use of these chargers in high-intensity or aggressive working conditions.

DISCOVER DRY CELL AGMs are deep cycle traction batteries adapted to real working conditions - i.e. they can be quickly recharged with a charger of the appropriate capacity, can „tolerate” partial recharges during the course of the day, can withstand high instantaneous loads, have a higher energy density than GEL batteries, withstand well outdoor conditions, can be permanently left connected to the charger, etc. Ideal for installation in new machinery and for replacing batteries that have already been used up. Simply choose the right charger algorithm and Discover EV24L will work long and reliably.
Remark:
- Always make sure you use the correct charging algorithm. DISCOVER AGM battery is suitable for all classic AGM charging algorithms that have a balancing mode (recommended), and can still be charged with constant current and constant voltage (up to 2.45V/cycle) chargers, but is strictly not suitable for starter AGM battery chargers. I.e. EXIDE, Sonnenchein GEL or DISCOVER GEL charging algorithms are suitable for them, as they all have a balancing mode.
- If you have had to undercharge the battery during the day, we recommend that you leave the battery overnight after the work to recharge it fully - this will fully compensate for the damage caused by undercharging (as a single undercharge can destroy between 3 and 6 cycles of the battery's lifetime, which is about 450 cycles at a discharge depth of 80%, or about 500 to 700 at a discharge depth of 70%).
