Description
These are classic charging stands (chargers). They are based on the use of a classical voltage transformer with a diode current rectifying bridge, partially modulating the charging current to achieve better charging quality. In addition, these charging stands are equipped with a controller that manages the entire charging process: disconnecting the charger when the battery is fully charged, protecting against current fluctuations, activating the equalisation and maintenance charging, etc.. If the battery is used in a single shift, it is recommended to select a charger that will charge the battery in 9 to 12 hours and to avoid leaving the battery connected to the charger when it is switched on, because once the battery is fully charged, the following processes start: equalisation charging and maintenance charging to compensate for the battery's self-discharge.
These chargers are best suited for standard battery work - 1 shift. Choosing a charger with a charging time of 9 - 12 hours and following the operating guidelines will ensure maximum battery life and these chargers are the most efficient in both cost and technical terms. Lead-acid batteries have been designed to be charged with these chargers. No high frequency charger will ever replace a standard charger with a power transformer for 1 shift per day and no weekend work.
