Discover EVGC6A-A battery (suitable for replacing TROJAN T105 / T125)

DISCOVER DRY CELL AGMs are deep cycle traction batteries adapted to real working conditions - i.e. they can be quickly recharged with a charger of the appropriate capacity, can „tolerate” partial recharges during the course of the day, can withstand high instantaneous loads, have a higher energy density than GEL batteries, withstand well outdoor conditions, can be permanently left connected to the charger, etc. Ideal for installation in new equipment or for replacement, e.g. TROJAN T105 or T125. Simply select the right charger algorithm and the Discover EVGC6A-A will work long and reliably.

Remark:

  • Always make sure you use the correct charging algorithm. DISCOVER AGM battery is suitable for all classic AGM charging algorithms that have a balancing mode (recommended), and is also suitable for charging with constant current and constant voltage (up to 2.45V/cycle) chargers, but strictly not for starter AGM battery chargers. I.e. EXIDE, Sonnenchein GEL or DISCOVER GEL charging algorithms are suitable for them as they all have a balancing mode.
  • If you have had to undercharge the battery during the day, we recommend that you leave the battery overnight after the work to recharge it fully, in order to fully compensate for the damage caused by undercharging (as a single undercharge can destroy between 3 and 6 cycles of the battery's lifetime, which in total is about 450 at a depth of discharge of 80%, or about 500 to 700 at a discharge depth of 70%).

Description

The manufacturer declares that DISCOVER AGM batteries can be undercharged during the day if necessary (e.g. to allow enough time for the evening shift). In such cases, it is very important to be aware that partial charges can only be carried out with chargers that have the DISCOVER AGM charging algorithm installed and, very importantly, that the equipment is left on full charge overnight on the days on which the partial charges were carried out, in order to compensate for the damage caused by the partial charges.
