MIDAC also manufactures standard-dimension liquid electrolyte traction batteries—monoblocs that are exclusively 24V. They are particularly widely used when a cheap and reliable solution is needed for loading and warehousing equipment. This is the same type of traction battery, except its casing is made of industrial plastic rather than metal, which allows production to be fully automated and results in a lower price. These batteries have the same lifespan as batteries in metal boxes—over 1,500 cycles.

MIDAC MDL / MBS traction cell blocks

MDL / MBS traction element blocks are manufactured using a different, fully automated production technology aimed at reducing the final battery price without compromising quality and lifespan. Instead of metal containers, special plastic boxes are used, and the internal cell interconnection structure is solid—making the blocks more resistant to shocks and vibrations. They are perfectly suited for small warehouse equipment, such as electric pedestrian pallet trucks, whose operation cannot avoid constant shaking.

The blocks are manufactured using the same MIDAC technology as standard traction batteries. MIDAC uses its own cell labeling: MDL complies with PzS (DIN, EN 60254-1/2), MBS – PzB (SB, EN 50272-3, British Standard).
